Snowflake Software Ltd. is a limited company registered in England and Wales number 4294244. This policy applies to Snowflake Software Ltd, Snowflake Software Inc. (a subsidiary of Snowflake Software Ltd.) and all websites and internet based services owned and operated by Snowflake Software including the Snowflake Software company website, Laminar Data website, Laminar Data APIs and our customer support portal.
What information do we collect about you?
Business contact details: We collect information about how to contact you at work such as your name, job title, email address, phone number and postal address. We will collect this information whenever we interact with you and may need to get back in touch at a later date. For example, if you contact us by email, phone or via our websites, or if you speak to one of our staff at a conference, trade-show or in a meeting.
CRM: Snowflake uses a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. We use this to record communications with customers and prospective customers. Our sales team will record notes of conversations they have had with you in this system as well as copies of some commercial correspondence and emails exchanged with you.
Information provided through our support channels: When you interact with our support team, either by speaking to one of our support staff, emailing support, or raising a ticket through our support portal, we will collect information from you relating to the issue to be resolved.
Laminar Data account information: If you create an account for our Laminar Data APIs we will collect information relating to you as the administrator of that Laminar Data account. This will include username, password and contact details and may also include payment information such as credit card details.
How do we use the information about you?
Sales: Our sales team will use your contact details to get in touch with you to find out if you are interested in our products or services, to follow up if you have enquired about our products or services or, if you are an existing customer, to find out about your experiences in using our products or services.
Marketing communications: If you have given us your consent to do so we will send you information about our company, our products and services and news from Snowflake Software. If you have consented to receive marketing communications you may opt out at any time. To opt out, click on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any marketing email from Snowflake Software, or contact us using the details below.
Support: Our support team will use information you have provided to us to help resolve the issues you have raised. We will also contact you with important information about the products covered by your support and maintenance contract such as new releases becoming available.
Laminar Data operations: We will use your information to operate your Laminar Data account. We will occasionally send you service related announcements by email, for example, if the service is temporarily suspended for maintenance.
Do we share your information?
We hold your data for the purposes of communicating with you and supplying services to you. We will only share your data with a third party when it is necessary for these purposes or to comply with the law.
Third party data processing: We use a number of cloud hosted services for data processing. This includes our credit card payment processing, CRM and support desk applications. We will pass your data to the third parties providing these applications to us but the data will remain under our control and will only be used for the purposes laid out in this policy. When we use third party data processors who are based in the US we will use suppliers who are part of the Privacy Shield, which requires them to protect personal data to standards acceptable to EU regulators.
Disclosure required by law: We will disclose personal information when required by law, if we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on us.
Business transactions: In the event Snowflake Software goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of a portion of its assets, control of the personal information we hold may be transferred to another company. We will place a prominent notice on each of our websites for 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of your personal information.
Snowflake Software takes all reasonable precautions to protect the personal information we hold. However, given the nature of the Internet and the fact that network security measures are not infallible, we cannot provide an absolute guarantee to the security of your information.
Snowflake’s in-house systems are protected by our own security procedures which are certified under the cyber-essentials scheme. We only use third parties to process data who have appropriate security and privacy policies in place.

The Laminar Data Developer Portal is fully PCI DSS compliant and Laminar Data conforms to the guidelines set out by this standard.
How to access and control your information
