Snowflake exhibited at the ATCA Technical Symposium, held on May 17-19 in Atlantic City, NJ. This was our first time at this conference – both attending and exhibiting. We had a blast, and are looking forward to attending again in the future!
The first day of the event involved tours of the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Centre. This facility is the centre of FAA research, development, testing and support functions. The Snowflake team took the afternoon Air Traffic Laboratories tour, and learned about operational systems such as Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS), Advanced Technologies and Oceanic Procedures (ATOP), and the En-Route Automation Modernisation (ERAM) system.
The team also learned about emerging technologies that will support the NextGen modernisation of our air traffic system. Nadine, our US CEO, even tried her hand at landing an aircraft; luckily, it was in a flight simulator!
Over the next two days, the Snowflake team exhibited their aviation data exchange products, including the SWIM Service Connectors and the Laminar Data cloud platform. Whether it be out-of-the-box connectivity to SWIM provided by the Service Connectors, or the harmonised, global aviation data provided by Laminar Data, we are excited to continue advancing SWIM access – and benefits therein — to the aviation industry!
