Watch the webinar to discover how to:

  • Create SWIM-compliant data from an existing system without software development or complex scripting
  • Make the same underlying dataset available in multiple formats (e.g. AIXM 5.0/5.1 with or without extensions, KML, JSON)
  • How to publish the same underlying dataset via multiple SWIM-enabled web services (e.g. WFS, RESTful services)
  • Maximise the reach and value of your data by making it easily available in the formats and protocols that are familiar with your customers

Alex Reading demonstrates that publishing data from existing systems in accordance with SWIM standards should not require considerable software engineering efforts, purchases of new systems or any major upgrades.

Background:

In this webinar we use obstacle data freely available from the FAA and publish it in AIXM using a different approach – one that “wraps” existing systems in a standards based layer to deliver the net-centric vision of SESAR and NextGen without software development or disruptive upgrades. The wrapping approach enables you to realise the benefits of SWIM sooner rather than later and at a fraction of the cost.
